The DME has a trace capture feature. In Vbadmin navigate to Diagnostics>Trace Capture.
- Choose "Interface to capture from" (bond0 is preferred if available)
- Set "Capture file size(MB)" (busier DMEs may require larger captures)
- Click "Start Capture"
DME will begin trace capture and continue until designated file size is reached or "Stop Capture" button is pressed. Capture can then be downloaded using the "Download Trace File" button.
Once downloaded the trace file can be analyzed using a tool such as Wireshark.
