Is there a way for a video to be public and part of a channel?

It is not possible to set a single video to be both public and part of a channel.

When setting video access control via Rev, you can only have one selection. Think of the selections going from left to right as progressing from no restrictions to most restricted.



- Public has no restrictions on access.
- All Users adds the restriction that it be a logged in Rev user.
- Private and Channels are at about the same level, as you add a further restriction that only allows a subset of logged in Rev users access to the video. The only difference is the method that you restrict the access.

The system doesn't allow a video to have no restrictions and restrictions set at the same time. If you needed to temporarily allow public access to a video, you could always set it that way, and then revert back to the previous settings once that need has passed.
